From early in the 1800s, cowboys rode the open Western range. On the cattle drive, every long, hard day in the saddle was followed by an evening of tall tales and music at the chuckwagon. Today, you can experience the spirit of the "Ole West" after a day of playing in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. What a great place for family reunions, corporate groups and weddings! The chuckwagon is one of the Old West's most unique, time-honored traditions. Originally a mobile mess hall, social center and supply chest, the chuckwagon accompanied cowboys on the annual cattle drive to railheads hundreds of miles from home.
